Chelsea was born in Las Vegas, but has lived in the Magic Valley since she was 8 years old, so considers it home. Shortly after high-school graduation in 2002, she married her high-school sweetheart and began attending CSI. Chelsea was involved in CSI’s theatre program, and after getting her associate’s degree, she started working in radio. She spent about 5 years in the field, working on-air, running promotions, and even doing some programming. However, Chelsea’s desire to devote more time to her two rambunctious toddler boys took over, and she left radio to focus on the important job of being a mom. When her boys started school, Chelsea decided to be a Guest Teacher. This is where she discovered her love for working with students who have special needs, which led her into Speech Language Pathology.
“I find absolute JOY in my work, and will continue to help students who have communication disorders find their voices as a speech therapist in the school setting. And although it’s been more than a decade, I’m excited to find my own voice again on the new Sunny 106.7. I hope to add to the feel-good vibes of an already great station!” -Chelsea
